Sakhi Sahawas
Sakhi Sahawås is a group of women started in December, 2009. It promotes womens' networking as persons. Its meetings are held at its members' convenience, on a bimonthly bases, either at home, or at a convenient location.
Women get together to connect and exchange stories/experiences/opinions on a given topic, and also enjoy good food in each-others' company. The 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. meetings are always in a relaxed manner, where women get to know and encourage each-other in whatever enterprize is undertaken.
The group has so far had 9 meetings, and each of them has refreshed and rejuvenated the participants. The topics discussed were Hobbies and passionate vocations, Love, Living in India and in Canada, Travel and adventure, Looking backward and leaping forward, My Gourmet Kitchen, Gift-giving, New Year's Resolutions, and Co-incidence. We are next going to have a picnic in the park in July 2011.
We have had a wonderful response from women of all ages, and hope to have continuous support of women for this minds-meet.
